oh. i'll be using both of them, there's a 50% chance you'll get the legends version instead of geoffrey one, unless sonia is p1, then the chance's 100%.

Well, Maxim's current theme is already badass enough, and it certainly has the castlevania feeling it in it.
I personally like it how it is.

About the Alucard arrange... it's strange, but to me the GB version still has a something else that this arrange doesn't, but I think this one is still the best remix of this song so far :P

it's the only remix of it i ever heard, so lol. i don't think too many people care for legends' music, especially those who do remixes.

A shame, Legends' take on Bloody Tears was pretty unique. Vampire Killer as the final boss theme was pretty interesting too.

So, should we ever meet Boss-type Hanz in Survival, how about giving him Ultra Violet (or Super Ultra Violet, depending on your preference) instead of S to go along with Richter having different themes?

...Okay, bad pun, I know.

EDIT: For those who have no idea what I'm talking about:

After I finish some issues I have I'll do the following:

1- Loop Proof of Blood
2- Finish CotM dance of Illusions.
3-Try to create Legend's Vampire Killer

Also, I made an Alucard battle on my own. I got it in two flavors, midi and orchestra. I didn't post it because it kinda sucks still has some major flaws and because the GB tune still sounds better somehow. Maybe after I'm done with these three above I'll try to see if I can save it.

Not sure if it's still relevant, but I arranged Dance of Sadness.

I'll give a few a whirl, see what sticks.

First rough shot at Vampire Killer. Not sure what style I should go for here (and I don't want to sound TOO orchestrated or TOO synth-y), so it probably sucks.
Mediafire, since I already uploaded it and am too lazy to attach it.

I'd say that the version of the song has potential, but it's missing some notes and it doesn't have the intensity that's in the actual song - the song has drums after the first part of it. Of course, you don't seem very enthusiastic about it, but I'm just pointing out what could be fixed if you do intend on improving upon the song.

It's not so much that I'm unenthusiastic, but the posts asking for Dance of Sadness are old and I've not been active in so long I don't really know what the contribution judgment calls have become.

But I'll keep working on it.

If it's okay with you, I'm going to put up a list of the tracks that still use their original chiptune version here:
  • Evil Invitation (DoS)
  • Scarlet Battle Soul (DoS)
  • Lament to the Master (OoE)
  • Chamber of Ruin (OoE)
  • Gauntlet (Rebirth)

I made a version of Evil invitation some time ago.
What would it need to be accepted?
I'll start tweaking everything I had to do in two weeks or so.

I'd say it was good, but let's see what the higher-ups have to say about this.

Fixed Dance of Sadness' missing shit.
Did two versions, one of which is mixed with the official arrange. I like that one better, personally, but I'm not totally sure that mine is heard enough (call it a personal peeve, I guess).

Regarding Evil Invitation, I'm partial to the unreleased arrangement from early DoS promotional material. Something about the prominence of the flute makes for an oddly appropriate contrast against the harshness of the other instruments. It's basically a higher quality version of the chiptune, so I'd prefer something closer to that. :T

If that doesn't work, try this link. :x

Regarding Dance of Sadness... I don't see the point when the official arrange is fine. :/

Wow, sounds really great. I'll look into it now I'm finally free, but it's a pity the arrangement of the video is not complete, I think it would do the trick.
