they probably designed albus based on this guy.

so i dunno if there's any point in making a palette out of him, there's one already. it's the first palette, minus the lighter hair. lol

If anything he is decked out in black and slightly-lighter-black instead of brown and gray. In any case I've already prepared a palette "loosely based on himtm" if anyone wants to see it anyway, though I won't be posting it quite yet as his hair is a bit of a toss-up (I can't light brown, lol).

Yeah, I think so since Draculina from OoE was also very similar to some of the vampires in that movie.

Montanos: Smash Daisaku from Gunstar Future Heroes
Hugh: Sephiroth?
Charlotte: Little Witch Academia colours
DukeNukem: DOS era
Persephone: Castlevania 64 maids. Alice (from Alice in Wonderland), Dorothy (Big O), Kohaku (Melty Blood)
Nathan: Reinhart Schneider???
Ronald: That insanely creepy clown lady from Fate/Extra.
Death: Classic Castlevania 1 death, and Shadowgate Death.

...Did you just put them all together in one picture? You're supposed to post them separately so that Serio can load the palettes directly from them. Also, you did edit the palettes directly, right?

I love the Garcian and Smash Daisaku ones, mostly because I just love those characters (didn't know Smash was in the sequel, never got around to playing it).

Does your Dorothy palette have blue skin?

I put them on the same image so people could tell me if they are okey as they are, or need improvements before I post them one by one.

BTW, an idea for Death... what if, when you hold down and select him, he instead becomes Renon? Using a trident instead of a scythe, and the sickles look like small flames, but otherwise the same moves overall. He was indeed a carbon copy of Death in CV64 so it would be a nice nod. And people could listen to that awesome Judgment Renon theme...

Well, for the most part they are quite good...you didn't forget about Duke's shirt, right?

Also, about the Renon as alternate Death thing, I don't really know how I feel about that, though part of me says that it wouldn't quite work for story reasons, as I don't think he'd play such an active role, and considering that we already have him as a shopkeeper...

Don't use pure white (255,255,255), don't use pure black (0,0,0), don't use neutral colors (i.e. 69,69,69). The first two are set in stone rules, the last one ends up making for bland/washed out coloring. Brighter colors tend towards yellowish tinting, and darker colors tend toward blue/purple tinting; this is called hue shifting, and while my example is grossly oversimplified, it's a start. :/

No to Renon being a skin; if anything, he'd be more suited as a boss, which is what spriting effort for him would be put toward whenever that happens. :T

pure white is fine for stuff like reflections, such as a light reflection on a sword, a really shiny costume or hair and such.

those are usually very small patches though, like 2-4 pixels or such.

I'm surpriced there is so little favour for Renon, but alright, I'll fix the palettes. np. :P

Btw Serio, since I'm not busy with Cornell anymore, is it ok to work on the Carrie costumes? :)

EDIT:

Here are the seperate and hopefully fixed versions. No pure white or black. Also, about Duke having screaming blue pants, well, they were kinda screaming blue in Duke Nukum 1 & 2. :P










Even so, feel free to modify them for any improvements you can think of. :)

A question about Reimu: what are the colors in palette indices 28-30 for? Somehow I hadn't noticed them until I started working on a Sanae-based palette.

that's for reimu's stick handle. the brown part of her weapon. it shouldn't be there actually, i think i just forgot to remove it since her weapon's a separate sprite. it's present on only one sprite, and is covered by the weapon sprite anyway.

I'd say make the Sanae outfit more blue than teal, other than that looks good. I was thinking it'd be somewhat fitting to have it include Marisa and Cirno as Nitori and Daiyousei, but it seems a little silly since they'll all just be blue and green.
